Introduction

The East Central Illinois Conference Member schools have formed this athletic conference based on equity of competition and proximity of location.  All activities shall be conducted with the knowledge that we are a conference of different missions and we will always be respectful of our differences and will strive to maintain a comfortable atmosphere for all of our visitors.  Communication is essential to the existence of any partnership therefore, the ECIC recognizes the importance of good communication between member schools.

The East Central Illinois Conference Members agree that good sportsmanship is one of the primary purposes of the high school interscholastic athletic programs.  The ECIC student athletes recognize that judgment calls are made in good faith and that they must abide by the decisions of the officials.  Spectators can support their high school interscholastic program by refraining from derogatory or intemperate remarks or cheers.  The ECIC hopes that the member schools, student athletes, and spectators will enjoy the activities and support their athletes in a positive and sportsmanship like manner.
