Dancing librarian

Well, it's not in my job description (as if that's ever mattered), but today I had the privilege of hosting the Morris Ardoin Quartet at Uni High. These amazing musicians are masters of French Creole music -- Cajun music with African-Carribean influence. They visited two French classes and the orchestra, then put on an assembly/concert for the entire school. At the assembly, Mitch and I started off the dancing (in fact, tried to prep things by giving a mini-Cajun two-step lesson during lunch yesterday), but things didn't really get rolling until Andrea pulled her brother onto the floor. That opened the floodgates and we had LOTS of dancers after that. It was a fabulous thing to see.
