A librarian's nightmare
A teacher's too. What are they thinking, declaring that Pluto is no longer a planet? What about all those encyclopedias, those reference books, the astronomy books? Textbook publishers are in crisis too. Do I hit the 520s with a black marker? Will the Astronomical Union provide me with inserts?
I guess this is one of those times when the Wikipedia model proves itself useful. Sigh.

And what about Pluto, Mickey Mouse's dog? Will he suddenly disappear, or have his title taken away and be lowered to the role of supporting cast, or even EXTRA???

I love the names of some of the other minor Kuiper Belt objects mentioned in that Wikipedia article: Xena, with its (her?) moon Gabrielle, and Santa, which has a moon named Rudolph. Who said scientists don't have a sense of humor? - GDS
