News and views from the Food fight
Via Joyce, I learned about the following clever stop-action video Food Fight: An Abridged History of War, by Stefan Nadelman. Nadelman delivers his own spin on wars from World War II to the present day, using the foods of the countries in conflict to illustrate the stories.

I think I caught most things the first time. WWII (the Holocaust, french surrender, D-Day, etc), 9/11, some other wars, etc etc.

For some reason, that video had a kind of high yuckiness factor for me. I can handle all kinds of blood, gore and dismemberment in the old horror movies I like, but the smashed and chopped-up food made me a little queasy! Maybe I shouldn't be watching it right before lunch. :-)
