IN THIS PODCAST, Adam Tiouririne brings you up to date on what happened in Uni sports while you were away on break.

The News-Gazette recently wrapped up its high school basketball coverage by naming its boys and girls all-area teams. Uni players were well represented, with junior Mike Renner and sophomore Rachel Skoza receiving special-mention honors. Seven Illineks earned honorable-mention status: juniors Sarah Pfander, Ruthie Welch, Aran Yoo, and sophomore Jessi Sullivan among the girls, and senior Michael Belmont and juniors Isaac Radnitzer and Chumar Williams among the boys.

Meanwhile, as spring break got under way, the boys track team competed in the Charleston Indoor Invitational on Saturday, March 17. At stake were berths in the Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor Classic — the unofficial indoor state finals.
