Girls soccer: Urbana match will not be rescheduled

URBANA — The Uni girls home soccer game against Urbana that was canceled Tuesday due to wet field conditions will not be played at another date.

According to Athletic Director Sally Walker, there are no remaining dates this season when both teams would be available to play.

To fill the gap in the team's schedule, Walker has scheduled an additional home game on April 17 at 4:30 p.m. against St. Thomas More. The Illineks lost to the Sabers 2-1 in their first game of the season at DCR Fields.

Uni's next match begins 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Monticello.
