But in the summer of 2003, Kumars Salehi began his film career performing in the same movie as such well-known actors as Ed Asner and Judge Reinhold. Senior George Gu and sophomore Daniel McNamara have been awarded $500 scholarships in recognition for their work as News-Gazette newspaper carriers.

Yuri Ermakov, an assistant coach for the Uni High track and cross-country teams, was formally read the charges against him during an arraignment held Monday at the Champaign County Courthouse.
