MRSA infection can be spread from any number of these forms of contact. No more “sharing is caring,” because what seems like a friendly gesture could ultimately be a sharing of disease.

I just went to the first basketball game of the season. Uni High girls against Atwood-Hammond. I gotta say … it was intense!

Editorial: Understanding Generation Q

Older generations are notorious for finding flaws with the generations that come after them. This year's senior editors have decided that they are undeserving of the criticism that New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman has bestowed upon their generation in his article titled "Generation Q." Instead, they explain, the criticism needs to be pointed in the opposite direction: namely, the generation before theirs.

Girls basketball: Illineks drop season opener in overtime

[UPDATED] The Uni girls began their season with a tough 66-59 overtime loss to host Atwood-Hamond tonight. Junior Jessi Sulivan, who made it to the IHSA state finals in 3-point shooting last year, sank a trey at the end of regulation to send the game into OT.
