Boys basketball: Uni routs Shiloh in season-opening tournament game

[UPDATED] Uni began its season successfully with an 80-32 victory over the Shiloh Raiders. Five players scored in double digits, all of whom were seniors. The host Illineks continue the Central Illinois Turkey Tourney this evening against Buckley Christ Lutheran at Kenney Gym.

Girls basketball: Illineks beat Milford for first win of season

[UPDATED] After starting the season 0-3, the Uni girls basketball team entered the win column Monday with a 63-45 victory over Milford in the McDonald's Comet Classic at Oakwood High School. Senior Aran Yoo led the team with 19 points and 4 steals. Junior Rachel Skoza recorded her third consecutive double-double, grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds and scoring 10 points.
