Yearbook takes second place in Eastern Illinois contest

Last year's edition of the Uni High yearbook has won a host of awards in the 2007 Eastern Illinois High School Press Association yearbook competition. The 2006-07 book won second place overall in the under-500 enrollment category. Uni's staff won first place for best layout and design. Check inside for the complete results.

Girls basketball: Skoza powers Uni to second straight win

Junior Rachel Skoza led Uni with 24 points and 11 rebounds as the Illineks defeated DeLand-Weldon 75-41 Thursday night at Kenney Gym. The victory was Uni's second straight in the East Central Illinois Conference. The Illineks are now 4-8, 2-1. Twelve Uni players saw varsity action against the visiting Eagles. Aran Yoo finished with 11 points and 6 steals. Fellow senior Sarah Pfander had 5 assists to go along with her 4 points.
