Well, Wii got one!

A few weeks ago my mom asked me what I thought about getting a Wii. I thought it sounded awesome, but I was doubtful we’d be able to get one. Nevertheless, a couple days later a huge box was sitting on our front steps.

We got lucky.

Pay attention to your freedom

History is not really my best subject (this is not because of the teachers, because I know that here at Uni the history teachers are the BEST). It's hard to pay attention when I can't see how what we're learning can apply to the modern world. I realize that is the whole point of history classes, but all the names, dates, and rebellions seem to go over my head.

Finally finished

Last night as I was studying for my Japanese I final, it dawned on me: Friday is the last day of school before break.

Editorial: When should quitting be an option?

December brings Christmas carols, popping fires, and cold-induced frostbites. It's also the time when senioritis hits the hardest, and lethargic seniors who despise doing homework are often seen wandering around the halls of Uni. It's about whether an activity, which once brought passion into your eyes but now only brings tears of boredom, is all right to quit. We each have our own response to this dilemma, so read on to find out whether quitting is ever justifiable.

CD review: Scarface, "Made"

When does misogyny cancel out brilliant storytelling? That's the question Gargoyle reporter Laura Dripps wrestles with in her review of Houston rapper Scarface's latest album. Sonically, “Made” is excellent. The beats are complex and produced just enough to be polished but not overpowering. If you can look at the lyrics with a responsible attitude, "Made" might be worth your money.
