Girls soccer: Illineks fall again to St. Thomas More

Junior Suran Yoo scored her third goal of the year, but that wasn't enough as Uni's brief winning streak came to an end today. The Illineks lost their second game this season to the crosstown Sabers.

WYSE team looking for 10th consecutive state title

Uni's Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering team will compete Wednesday in the state finals of the WYSE Academic Challenge. Uni has won nine straight titles, but those came in the small-school division. Tomorrow the team will step up in weight class, taking on perennial champ U-High Chicago, among others.

Almost 40 Uni students are scheduled to participate Wednesday in the annual nationwide quiet protest against discrimination and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students and their allies. However, the number of Uni participants has dropped by more than 50 percent since last year.
