Senior Paige Martin led the way Friday at the Lady Spartan Classic with first place in the pole vault and second in the triple jump, but there were plenty of other reasons to be optimistic as the Illineks got ready for IHSA sectionals.

Uni ended its scoring drought with two goals by Suran Yoo and one by Joy Shapley in Saturday's conference win. The Illineks can claim the ECIC title with a victory Monday over Decatur Lutheran.
