Boys soccer: Illineks get back on scoreboard, defeat Fisher 2-0

After being on the receiving end of two straight shutouts, the Uni offense got back on track Tuesday with a 2-0 win over host Fisher. The victory also ended a three-game winless skid, which began with a 1-1 tie against Fisher during the season-opening Uni High Soccer Shoot Out tournament.

Girls volleyball: Conference play opens with Uni win

The Uni girls went 8-4 in the East Central Illinois Conference last season to finish second behind Decatur Lutheran. The Illineks began their latest ECIC campaign Tuesday night on the road with a victory over Buckley Christ Lutheran in three games. They will continue their conference play on Friday when they visit Decatur Christian.

Boys cross country: Illinek improvement continues with strong Twin City showing

After a fifth-place finish at last year's Twin City Championship Meet, the Uni boys moved up two spots this year and cut more than 30 points off their team score. With freshman Buck Walsh, an all-state runner as a subfreshman, joining other newcomers such as junior Isaac Chambers and senior Jacob Olshansky, the Illineks have the kind of depth that might keep them running into November.

This past Sunday, I came into the Mac lab with my fellow editors-in-chief, Shivani Khanna and Andrea Park. (I would like to note that we were the only editors who came in.)

Anyways, we were working on an audio slideshow meant to illustrate and describe the summer French trip, of which both Shivani and I were a part. The slideshow will be published soon, and all of you better appreciate it, because I am here to explain the process, just to enlighten you all to the hard work we editors do.
