College spotlight: Uni alum Emily Buss talks about life at Wellesley

Last week 2004 alum Emily Buss dropped by to discuss Wellesley College, the prestigious women's liberal arts school located near Boston. You might be hearing a lot more about Wellesley in the coming months, especially if one of its most famous graduates, Hillary Rodham Clinton, becomes the Democratic nominee for president. My nameless dog

Two weekends ago, my dad came home from Kokomo, Ind., with a brand new girl puppy. My dad finally decided to take the decisive step in getting a dog by actually going out and getting it.

Film review: "27 Dresses"

Jane, played by Katherine Heigl, has been in 27 weddings, none of which were her own. Undeterred, this young woman is sure that, eventually, her day will come. Sound like a formulaic chick flick? Sure, but that doesn't stop Sarah Pfander from recommending it.

Don't tell Jie Han that time spent on the Web is time wasted. Her experience with virtual communities such as Gaia Online proves otherwise. "If only the real world were like Gaia Online, then I would be extremely happy," she writes.

Gargoyle guide to the week in entertainment, Jan. 28-Feb. 3

None of this week's releases comes close to matching the power of last week's highlight, "There Will Be Blood." But the Gargoyle entertainment crew came up with a few finds worth your attention. And if Hannah Montana is your guilty pleasure, we know where you're gonna be Friday night.

College nightmares?

For the past hour and a half I've been overwhelmed by college. Why, you might ask? I'm just halfway through my junior year. I shouldn't be wanting to think about college right now. But one site makes the journey a little less stressful.
