Weather update: Three basketball games to be played today at Kenney

There may have been no school today because of the snowstorm that swept through the Midwest, but conditions have improved enough to allow Uni and Normal Calvary Baptist Academy to play three basketball games later today at Kenney Gym. The boys JV game will begin at 5, followed by the girls varsity at 6:20 and boys varsity at 7:45. Senior Night ceremonies for the girls will be held before their game.

The St. Matthew Raiders defeated Uni 40-34 Thursday in the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 8-2A Regional 4 title game. With a 2-1 record in the playoffs, including a semifinal win over No. 1 seed Chrisman Scottland, the Illineks finished their season 8-5.

Years later, when she finally realizes her error, can she ever atone for the damage she did? Katherine Allen reviews this thought-provoking film, which has been nominated for seven Oscars, including best picture.
