Agora Days? Yeah, right …

It's a fun activity that someone tried to make educational for "academic" classification. It's one-and-two-thirds movies spread out over four days. It's a fun, laid-back sports practice that tries to exclude players who aren't "serious."

I miss Derald's

Now that Derald's has been gone for about four months, I can truly say that its absence has affected my life more than I originally thought it would.

With the abysmal weather of late, and the workload of this semester starting to heat up, the coming break couldn’t come any sooner. Even though everyone has two take two “academic” classes, that still leaves six periods with which to play video games, watch a movie, or learn a martial art.

Boys basketball: Uni winning streak reaches nine games

The Illineks won their ninth straight game by defeating conference opponent DeLand-Weldon 70-21 Tuesday night at Kenney Gym. Uni is now 18-5 overall, 8-1 in the East Central Illinois Conference. The boys will return to Kenney Gym tonight to celebrate Senior Night before playing Georgetown Notre Dame de LaSalette. The ceremony honoring the team's six seniors will begin no earlier than 7:20 p.m.

Chess: Seeded second out of 121 teams, Uni goes for state title this weekend

[AUDIO included] For the past two years, Uni's chess team has placed in the top 10 at the IHSA state tournament. Now ranked second in Illinois, Uni will challenge for the championship Friday and Saturday at the Peoria Civic Center.
