When I was younger I swore to myself I would never become addicted to caffeine. I saw how my parents and teachers couldn’t go a morning without their three cups of coffee, and I didn’t want that to happen to me.

Musician in the spotlight: Q&A with Jennifer Roloff

[AUDIO included] Modest and unassuming though she is, Jennifer Roloff has been getting a lot of attention lately for her musical talents. She won two major competitions in six weeks, and Saturday night she will perform an oboe concerto as a guest soloist with the Danville Symphony Orchestra. Assistant editor Jie Han caught up with her recently and found out more about this remarkable senior.

The Uni High Class of '08 spent the weekend of Feb. 29-March 3 skiing, snowboarding, frolicking in a gigantic waterpark, and hanging out in the Wisconsin Dells for their much-anticipated senior trip. The students took time to relax, forget about college admissions, and have a blast at the Kalahari Resort. Watch this slideshow to see how the seniors of '08 spent their crazy, fun-filled weekend.

Editorial: Hooray for spring break!

Spring break is finally here and the senior editors are more than excited. We are ecstatic. That's not to say that we're not a bit worried about parental overinvolvement in our vacation. Methodically planned activities, complete with sightseeing from sunup to sundown, induce fear that our relaxation time will be exponentially diminished. Nevertheless, we know spring break will be great. We're almost done!
