Column: An end to overachieving

For as long as Elaine Gu can remember, she put an extra effort into everything she did. But no more. "Somehow, after years of attending Uni, I have lost my will to overachieve," she writes. "I no longer get papers done a week before they’re due. I no longer go the extra step to perfect my daily assignments." The one consolation? Only one more year left before college.

Senior prank: String, shaving cream, and cups, oh my!

[UPDATED with photos] Last year's seniors filled the lounge with balloons and covered the west-entrance sidewalk with elaborate graffiti as their class prank. How would the Class of 2008 top that? This morning the rest of Uni found out. Senior Anna Cangellaris takes us behind the scenes of the latest senior prank.

One more year

For as long as I could remember, I have always put extra effort into everything that I did.

Poetry from the Gargoyle's mouth: "The Hollow Men"

This is it. As all good things must come to an end, so must "Poetry from the Gargoyle's mouth." This is our very last entry but definitely not our very least. In fact, we have chosen a classic story about endings by T.S. Eliot. "The Hollow Men" is worth its weight in gold and a definite must-read. We hope you enjoyed our public poetry project and that you will all continue reading great poetry.
