Zhai wins silver medal at International Math Olympiad

Alex Zhai, a rising junior, scored 25 out of a possible 42 points en route to earning a silver medal at the 47th International Mathematical Olympiad. Zhai and his U.S. teammates placed fifth overall. The results were announced today. The six-problem, two-day competition was held Wednesday and Thursday in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Posted Sunday, July 16, 2006, The OG.
