Six Uni musicians to perform at all-state festival this week

As the IMEA all-state music festival rapidly approaches, Uni's six selectees are preparing for their trip to Peoria. The annual showcase of the state's top high school musicians begins Wednesday and continues through Saturday.

After building a 15-point lead in the second quarter, the Uni girls had to fight hard in the final minutes to come away with a 49-47 victory Monday night over the Tribe. The victory came at a price: Rachel Skoza, Uni's leading scorer, injured her shooting hand and will be out for at least the remainder of the regular season.
