The Uni girls began the varsity basketball season Thursday night against Atwood-Hammond, and Lauren Piester was there. She's the first to say she made an unlikely fan, but she liked what she saw. In fact, it inspired her to reflect on what would have happened if she had lasted more than three weeks on her sixth-grade team.
