Competing against Class A and AA runners, Malcolm Taylor and Nick Pratt won the top two spots in the 400 at Saturday's Mahomet-Seymour Invite. Uni's 4x800 relay team finished second, easily outpacing the rest of the Class A field. Tonight the top performers from Uni's boys and girls teams will compete at the U of I in the News-Gazette Honor Roll Meet.

Uni will send six athletes to the IHSA girls state track finals Friday in Charleston. The Illineks qualified in the 4x800 relay (Warner, Collopy, Khanna, Welch), the 1,600 run (Russell), and the pole vault (Martin).
