Take a trip back to the last day of August, when homework was barely even a blip on the radar screen. Gargoyle staffers Sindha Agha and Katherine Allen were on the scene at this year's Subbie Retreat to capture the fun and games on camera. After a disappointing 2-1 loss at Oakwood earlier this week, the Illineks rebounded Thursday to beat the visiting Raiders of Iroquois West 4-0. Dan Lilly scored twice, and Jake Seeley added another goal. But the surprise of the day came from goalkeeper Isaac Radnitzer, who not only recorded his fifth shutout of the season but scored a goal of his own on a penalty kick. The Illineks, now 6-3-1, will face Danville Schlarman today at the DCR Soccer Complex. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m.
