Boys basketball: Uni easily handles crosstown rival in 71-49 win over Judah

Uni won a rivalry game and picked up its sixth consecutive victory in a 71-49 conference win Tuesday over Judah Christian at Kenney Gym. Senior Mike Renner led all scorers with 18 points, knocking down three treys. The Illineks improve to 15-5, 5-1 in the ECIC.

Harmon essay chosen as one of top 10 in Martin Luther King Jr. contest

Three Uni students will be honored Saturday for their entries in the Sixth Annual Middle and High School Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest. Sophomore Rachel Harmon's contribution was named one of the 10 outstanding essays in the competition. Seniors Michelle Gao and Jamie Weiser were among seven students to earn honorable mention.
