Film review: Neutral stance of "W." is a refreshing surprise

While fellow senior editor Lizzy Warner may have fallen asleep during "W.," Lauren Piester stayed awake the whole time, and she was glad she did. Even though the film's almost total lack of the expected presidential roast was surprising, she still found many things to enjoy in this latest effort by controversial director Oliver Stone.

Chess: Uni defeats Bismarck-Henning

The Uni chess team continues to excel with its latest 58-0 victories, this time over Bismarck-Henning in two rounds Thursday night. The team now has an East Central Illinois Chess League record of 4-0.

"Diversity enriches our lives": Eating, learning, and having fun at Cultural Fair '08

The third annual Uni High Cultural Fair took place on a mild and sunny Oct. 3. Featuring dishes from dozens of ethnic booths and a wide array of music, dance, and art, the celebration was a huge success. Participants came away with satisfied stomachs and a new appreciation for the diversity that exists in our community.
