Educating her peers: A profile of Erin Hayes

For almost two years, Erin Hayes has been a peer educator in Planned Parenthood's Teen Awareness Group. Whether she's giving presentations to youth groups about sexual health, organizing benefit concerts, campaigning for comprehensive sex ed, or working with other teens one on one, Hayes has put in long hours giving young people the information they need to make decisions about their own sexual behavior.

A passion for film: Kumars Salehi and the life cinematic

When the Class of 2008 lines up for commencement on Saturday, you'll see plenty of talented students who will go on to make an impact well beyond Uni High. One of those students is Kumars Salehi, who is ready to translate his passion for film into a career.

Boys track: State runner-up! Taylor places second in Class A 400-meter dash

[AUDIO included] Junior Malcolm Taylor became the first Uni male track athlete in 67 years to win a runner-up medal at the IHSA state track meet as he ran the 400-meter dash in 49.74 seconds to finish behind only Ben Asmus of Heyworth. Taylor and Asmus are now 1-1-1 in competitions and look to continue their rivalry next year.
