Band movies
Published: Thursday, October 30, 2008 - 9:13pm
I finally got around to watching "Across the Universe" over the summer (with a friend of mine coincidentally named Jude) and thought, huh, this is a good idea. Adapting the movie to music instead of the other way around. Pretty neat stuff.
Remember, remember, the fifth of November … because you should be at 8,335 words

Just two more days. I've got everything I need. I can't wait for it to begin.
Another reason to go to the Halloween dance: Tempe Fugi will be back in action
Published: Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 5:29pm
Last year, then-juniors Kareem Sayegh, Natsuki Nakamura, and Karolina Kalbarczyk invited me to be a member of a new group, Uni High's first dance crew: Tempe Fugi.
PG-13 Halloween
Published: Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - 10:48pm
Halloween has long been a celebration of dressing up without ramifications. Ever since maybe seventh grade, when I dressed as a Barbie Doll to my friend's Goth, I've felt like Halloween is an excuse for girls to dress up, well … sluttily.
The world of music: A few things you have to hear
Published: Monday, October 27, 2008 - 11:35pm
I have always had a love for music. Every since I've been alive that's all I could think of. Not just all rock or all rap — all things that sound good. Rock, country, alternative, hip-hop, pop, even polka; anything you put on I'll listen to.
It's everywhere!

Why we procrastinate — and how to overcome it
Published: Monday, October 27, 2008 - 5:26pm
Seeing as to how I should be working on some chemistry homework right now, a great idea for a blog entry just occurred to me. I am going to talk about procrastination.
Two weeks of torture
Published: Monday, October 20, 2008 - 9:03pm
I’d like to start out by saying that I normally like to at least try and follow politics and current events, as part of being a semi-informed citizen and all of that. But with two weeks left before everyone (by which I mean 35 percent of non-felon citizens over age 18 or whatever) goes off to vote, I’ve reached my limit, I have to say:
I want this election to be over.
Ad Council tries to curb "That's so gay"
Published: Monday, October 20, 2008 - 5:39pm
It's a common phenomenon in high schools: using "gay" as a synonym for negativity.
"We All Fall Down": For shoe lovers, Fashion Week brought good news and bad
Published: Friday, October 17, 2008 - 7:13am
I have been obsessed with shoes for a very long time. In fact, my first word was "shoe."
Whenever I go to a store, the first thing I notice are the shoes. I just love staring at them! The colors, the styles … to me, shoes equate to a Rembrandt.
Third presidential debate: All it took was five minutes
Published: Thursday, October 16, 2008 - 12:08am
Due to the fact that the debates can't seem to last very long on the TVs in our house, and the other fact that I was far too lazy to move to a room with a TV in it, I decided to watch the debate tonight online. That way, I could watch while filling out music surveys on Facebook (read: doing my homework).
Running on tradition: Customs of a cross country team
Published: Wednesday, October 15, 2008 - 11:18pm
Time and time again I hear people say "It seems so boring" and "All you do is run" in response to the question: Why don't you join cross country?

Third presidential debate: Did McCain kick Obama's "you-know-what?"
Published: Wednesday, October 15, 2008 - 9:41pm
In the third and final debate between presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama, McCain needed something big. All the major networks talked about how he would have to be at his best to make sure that his campaign would be able to rebound after a hellish last few weeks. He came out and looked Obama straight in the eye and thus began the debate.
Third presidential debate: Same old song and dance
Published: Wednesday, October 15, 2008 - 8:10pm
8:05 p.m. — Hey, we're already back to the same old song and dance … the economy! I feel like it should spelled with capital letters. The Economy. That sounds better.
I'm thinking I should write more. But I'm also thinking that I've got nothing else to say.
I guess I could do what the candidates do — repeat the same things over again.
