The girls basketball season ended a week ago, and since soccer doesn't start for another week, I've been able to go home at 4 o'clock for the first time since swim season ended about four months ago.

Ah, freshmen. I have to admit that I don't really know any of you, other than the small handful — well, quarter of your class — that plays girls basketball.

Why, someone new to Uni might ask, would you give up a game of sports and a free period to do math problems (AMC 10/AMC 12) for an hour and a half in the morning?

There must be a pretty good reason.
