State chess champs?

When I first began playing on the Uni chess team as a freshman three years ago in 2005-06, the chess team had a lineup of talented and strong players. That year, we won the East Central Illinois Chess League decisively and finished fourth overall with a record of 6-1 in the IHSA state tournament finals.

The movie “Mean Girls” was a huge hit. Thousands of people lined up and saw it in theaters or bought the DVD, loving the hilarious plot line of a group of catty high school girls inflicting unspeakable damage on themselves and others.

My freshman year, I had to drink this nasty microwaved concoction of soy sauce, apple juice, pepper, Al Johnson's snot, and god knows what else in order to be "initiated" onto UHGB varsity. I definitely threw up in my mouth a little.

Saturday photo sessions

I braved the slush and the cold for a good photo session this Saturday. Results? Here they are:
