Spell casting and food fights

“BRING BACK THE OLD FACEBOOK,” a recently created Facebook group, explains it all. These days Facebook just isn’t the same.

Remember that phase where everyone and their monkey’s uncle was addicted to MySpace? It was kind of immature and middle school-ish, I know. That’s why I got a Facebook account. Even though the site was originally a way for college students across the world to communicate, a lot of Uni students were getting accounts, so I did too.

At first, Facebook was a way for me to communicate with my friends without having to intermingle with privacy issues, random friend requests, and skanky teenagers who post half-naked pictures of themselves on their profiles.

But has Facebook become a newer, better version of MySpace?

Now you can add different applications to your profile like “Superwall,” “Foodfight,” and “Harry Potter Magic Spells.” Another thing that has changed is that you can see everything your friends do, say, or think on your account's homepage.

And I mean EVERYTHING.

This is a violation of our privacy! I don’t want people to see what I posted on a so-and-so’s wall at 11:23 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2007.

Stalker-ish? Just a bit.

That’s why I’m kind of careful about my Facebook activities and what I put on my profile. There have been a number of instances where people have been busted because of something found on Facebook.

Just be careful, people.

So if you cast a magical spell on me, I’ll throw a cheeseburger at you!

I really really want to go

I really really want to go check what you wrote on so-and-so's wall at 11:23 P.M. on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2007. Why are you so desperate to hide it?
