Finally finished

Last night as I was studying for my Japanese I final, it dawned on me: Friday is the last day of school before break.

I know, like everyone else, I'm looking forward to winter break. For me, it will be a two-week period when I don't have to care at all about homework and I can sleep without worrying about my alarm clock. Speaking of which, I can finally catch up on all the sleep that I have been needing for the past few weeks.

The sudden avalanche of studying brought upon by finals only made me wish that winter break was closer. While studying I could always tell myself that I would be stress free in a matter of days.

During my breaks, I try not to have plans. This allows me to spend as much time as possible with friends and family, and if an interesting opportunity arises I am usually available. Also, when I don't have plans I can do a little harmless lounging around.

Breaks also tend to help me get back on track when school starts again. With a long break I can clear my brain of complex topics of school like molarity and "Paradise Lost." I can come back with my mind ready to absorb knowledge instead of just attempting to quickly memorize things before my final exams.

I am sure everyone would agree with me when I say the school could use this break. The school as a whole seemed to be tired and antsy waiting for the semester to end. I'm sure even teachers are waiting for the time that they will no longer have to grade papers.
