The beginning of summer break is fast approaching. As you may notice, there is a spectacularly magnificent countdown (on the homepage of the Gargoyle and above – for a limited time only) to summer break — more specifically, a countdown to noon on Friday, May 30, the start of disorientation picnic.

It's finally December, and the number of days till winter break are dwindling quickly. To celebrate the coming of winter break, the Online Gargoyle gets a temporary holiday makeover, and a spectacular countdown on the frontpage.

Since the inception of the new Online Gargoyle, on Aug. 18, 2007, we have received a total of 3,121 spam comments. In 59 days, we've received a total of 3,121 spam comments. That's an average of 53 spam comments per day, or about two per hour. But some days are more vicious than others. In a 50-minute period, the Gargoyle got 73 spam comments.
