Democratic candidate Barack Obama and Republican candidate John McCain met tonight at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., in the second presidential debate of the 2008 campaign. Several OG staffers blogged their responses to the debate. Here is sophomore Katy Metcalf's reaction to the showdown.

8 p.m.

8:05 p.m. — Oh no, they're not showing audience reactions? As a third-party voter, however, will I make my decision? And now the woman is saying no cheering, no clapping, no "untoward outbursts" — must my decision remain entirely uninfluenced?

The third Thursday of every month, nearly 200 low-income and impoverished families and individuals (representing more than 500 benefiting from the services) line up at the doors of Urbana’s Wesley United Methodist Church, the first arriving as early as 10 in the morning, the last dispersing at around 8 p.m.

So, I just got tickets to Death Cab for Cutie at Assembly Hall on Oct. 12. Tickets went on sale today, and already they're half gone. Not bad for a Sunday night concert.
