I finally got around to watching "Across the Universe" over the summer (with a friend of mine coincidentally named Jude) and thought, huh, this is a good idea. Adapting the movie to music instead of the other way around. Pretty neat stuff.

Third presidential debate: Same old song and dance

8:05 p.m. — Hey, we're already back to the same old song and dance … the economy! I feel like it should spelled with capital letters. The Economy. That sounds better.

I'm thinking I should write more. But I'm also thinking that I've got nothing else to say.

I guess I could do what the candidates do — repeat the same things over again.

Second presidential debate: Bridges and bailouts

Democratic candidate Barack Obama and Republican candidate John McCain met tonight at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., in the second presidential debate of the 2008 campaign. 8:05 p.m. — Oh no, they're not showing audience reactions? As a third-party voter, however, will I make my decision? And now the woman is saying no cheering, no clapping, no "untoward outbursts" — must my decision remain entirely uninfluenced?

Death cab for a struggling student

So, I just got tickets to Death Cab for Cutie at Assembly Hall on Oct. 12. Tickets went on sale today, and already they're half gone. Not bad for a Sunday night concert.
