Feeling tired?

Ever feel sleepy or drowsy at school?
Well, I definitely have. At school, I am often tired and have difficulty concentrating in class. Although my grades or participation have not been affected yet, I consider every school day another headache I have to go through. Obviously, this is a bad thing. I’m not getting tired because class is boring. Instead, I think it’s because I’m sleep deprived.
Lately, I have been getting six to seven hours of sleep on the weekdays. Today, I read an article about how sleep deprivation causes students to not only learn less in school but also have a higher chance of memory loss and health problems. It surprised me how the number of hours of sleep you get can really affect you in the long run.
Considering the amount of sleep I have been getting, I guess it doesn’t surprise me that I am experiencing the same symptoms of sleep-deprivation described in the article. I would give anything to have good sleep throughout the rest of the year. However, with the activities and schoolwork I have, it’s just too hard to achieve the recommended nine hours of sleep on a daily basis. Hopefully my cognitive thinking will not be greatly affected in the future.
I just wish that all my nights would be sound, unbroken, and adequate sleep. For all of you others who are feeling tired during the school days, consider getting some extra sleep.

nice article
Nice article, Gordon.
I feel very fortunate that Uni does a lot to try to help us get as much sleep as possible. For instance, we've got the 2-tests-a-day limit, which simply doesn't exist at many other high schools. Plus, every teacher I've ever had at Uni has been very understanding and flexible when it comes to tests and due dates so we aren't overloaded with work.
it's rather difficult to get
it's rather difficult to get the correct amount of sleep if you have morning practice, school, afternoon practice, dinner, showering, and all the homework for that day
