An ode (and beckoning) to summer

I'm awfully reminiscent of my summer last year. It consisted of a monthlong trip to Greece and Italy, an incredible two-week stay at film camp in Ann Arbor, Mich., and, of course, lounging about and adventuring around Champaign-Urbana toward the end of the summer.

Summer vacation is essential to every student's development. We get almost three whole months off to relax and pursue our other interests, to release and redefine ourselves, although they seem to pass in the blink of an eye.

Uni is our life during the school year, and we hardly have time to stop and breathe, let alone venture outside of Planet Uni and immerse ourselves in our nonacademic passions.

I can't wait for next summer, because I know it will be just as amazing, if not more amazing, than last summer.

To finish this off, here is my photographic ode to summer, consisting of photos I snapped last summer:
