Reputation and genre only goes so far in determining an album's worth. This year alone I've heard Modest Mouse, Wilco, Bloc Party, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah deliver albums that are not only subpar but in some cases blatantly insipid and uninspired. Putting down Furtado's classy collaboration disc with Timbaland doesn't change that. It wasn't on my top 10 of last year, but another Timbo collaboration was.
