I agree, that DMV is kind of crazy. I took a test there and supposedly I did okay, because the instructor didn't have anything major to tell me. However, they then went on to CRITIQUE my driving, which my parents had never heard of. "You went a little past the stop sign every time," "Work on your turning," It was kind of ridiculous, and I'm pretty sure nobody would care in actual driving situations(I was coming to full stops, I though I was turning smoothly, etc), but I understand their reasoning to a point.

My parents said the same thing about trying the Monticello DMV after my test (Yes, they failed me for those nitpicky little things they saw).
