Your skin is SO pretty!

In the locker room after morning track practice everyone has a different routine and everyone does different things. Some people puff perfume on themselves while others slather on lotion, but I've noticed one thing that nearly everyone does. Everyone either washes her face or puts on moisturizer.
It's interesting how much people care about their facial skin . A scab on your knee doesn't normally faze anyone, but a scratch on the face causes much stress. Especially at this age the concern about acne is tremendous; this concern is not gender specific either.
When I go to the grocery store, and I have to spend my own money, the things that I usually spend the most money on are facial products. I am always afraid of what a new type of face wash or moisturizer will do to my skin.
I think this comes from how much people react to your skin. Radiant, clear skin can result in a stream of compliments while dull, acne-ridden skin often causes people to react differently to you. Even in high school, one thing that can cause you to be teased mercilessly is awful skin.
Advertisements and celebrities sport flawless skin creating an expectation that normally cannot be achieved without makeup. I love to see people who take good care of their skin, but I know that flawless skin is virtually impossible.
