Free periods!?

Free periods can create difficult situations for me. Even after a long evening of homework, I often don't finish everything I was supposed to. So, I tell myself that I'll finish those last few math problems during my free period.

It sounds like a great solution, right?

Many times, it is. I'll finish the work, and still have a while to talk to friends.

Sometimes, though, I get distracted and do the talking before the working. Then, I just have more work for the evening, and more that I try to fit into the next free period. This cycle can't be good for me.

The situation is even worse because before my free period/chorus, I have PE. On days that I have a free period, I let myself stroll back to school a little slower. This makes for less time actually working.

So, what's the solution?

I could simply fill all my periods with classes, so I don't get myself into these situations in the first place. There are times, though, when my free period is used wisely, and it's great to be able to relax just a little bit throughout my busy day.

I think the best remedy is a little willpower. I'll power walk back to school after PE, and buckle down on that unfinished work. Or, better yet, I'll finish that work at home. I don't need that much sleep … right?

That nice break during Agora Week definitely boosted my work ethic, though. I don't think I'll have trouble finishing work over the next few weeks. Especially with spring break coming up! Just three more weeks, guys! We can do it!
