I was one of those who bought the hug, and it was split between four people. We were indeed thinking of the charity. It was a great way for me, personally, to push myself to donate, because if I didn't absolutely owe someone the money, I know that I might forget to donate.

I agree that the Senior Auction seems to be one of the great money-bringing event, but don't forget about Big Show! The money from Big Show will also go to Books to Prisoners.
