How my prom went
Published: Monday, May 19, 2008 - 9:52pm
Apart from having the best date I could ask for, a sweet ride, and a beautiful dress, I just had a wonderful time this year at prom.
I think everything went pretty perfectly. I woke up Saturday morning, played some ball games in a tournament (where I sprained my ankle, but fortunately the swelling went down), showered, had my mom do my hair and nails, and got picked up by my wonderful date, who just happened to be my boyfriend.
So, you'll never guess what he picked me up in … it was a nice red convertible BMW. Score.
The Great Impasta's stuffed mushroom dish was excellent. So were the desserts at prom — great job, Hannah and Maddy. I think I ate more of your desserts than actual dinner.
Prom, the dance. Much more fun when you have a date you're comfortable dancing with. Yet overall, I liked the decorations and atmosphere probably even better than last year's prom, which I had the privilege to attend. I'm sure there'll be oodles of pictures published soon to illustrate.
I don't think the absence of a post-prom bothered anyone, certainly not me. Hanging out at a friend's house with my dinner group was just as fun and very chill.
In the morning, more like noon-ish, a few people from my original dinner group who were awake enough headed over to The Courier Café for breakfast, which was fun. Surprisingly I was starved, but strawberry pancakes and cinnamon coffee solved that problem.
So, was prom all that it was hyped up to be? Indeed. It seemed to fly by, but I have tons of pictures to remember it by. Way too many to all put on Facebook. Oh, and a cold that conveniently came soon after … yeah, oh well.
