Audio slideshow: Welcome to Herpeto-looza!

ON FRIDAY MORNING, scores of subfreshman science students ventured over to Uni to see the reptile and amphibian collection of Kevin Nortrup, Uni Class of 1977. He is a former senior biology student of current subfreshman science teacher Pat Morris.

As Nortrup explains in this audio slideshow, he is a computer engineer by trade but an enthusiast of reptiles and amphibians. The purpose of showing his collection to students is to increase their understanding of diverse forms of life and to help them overcome any fears they might have.

Nortrup has not been a stranger to Uni since his graduation. He has returned to teach several Agora Days classes, including his popular Hands-on Herpetology. So check out this slideshow and watch the subfreshmen get right at home with the herps and phibs.
