STANFORD — After the graduation of Cameron Cropek and Kangway Chuang in June, it looked like 2006 would be a rebuilding season for Uni boys cross country. But the Illineks advanced to within one meet of going to state and will return a veteran squad next fall. On Saturday, their season ended with a 14th-place finish at the Stanford Olympia Class A sectional. Sophomore Malcolm Taylor finished 11th overall and just barely missed qualifying individually, losing out on the final berth for state by less than two seconds. For more coverage, click here.
