TODAY IS A National “Mandate For Peace” Call-In Day to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq. Take a couple of minutes to call your representatives in Washington and let them know what you want them to do regarding the most pressing issue facing America, the Iraq War.
The number for the U.S. Capitol switchboard is 202-224-3121.
If you'd like to follow up your call by writing to your senators and representative, talk to me — I can provide you with preaddressed, prestamped postcards. (Look for another column tomorrow about the Postcards For Peace campaign.)
Or, if you'd rather write a letter on your own, here are the addresses:
Timothy V. Johnson
U.S. House of Representatives
1229 Longworth House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515-1315
Richard J. Durbin
United States Senate
332 Dirksen Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510-1304
Barack Obama
United States Senate
713 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510-1305
The more who call and the more who write, the more they will listen to what we have to say.
