Getting loopy for a good cause

Posted Wednesday, May 10, 2006, The OG, features

Even though it was overcast and dull outside today, this didn't stop the subfreshmen from launching their X-Week event: a timed Fruit Loop eating contest. It was the color of the rainbow … all on one desk, all in tiny white plastic cups ready for scoffing. The winner of the event was freshman Kareem Sayegh, who shoveled down seven cups of Fruit Loops, and the runner-up was freshman Adam Tiouririne with six. All proceeds (from wagering on the possible winner) will go to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
