IN AUGUST, MY family and I visited the People's Republic of China. I was fortunate enough to be there when the Olympics were going on, meaning many physical changes to the city as well as an exciting atmosphere. I was even able to get tickets to the men's gymnastics team final. Here is an audio slideshow highlighting some of the things I saw in Beijing.

Billions of dollars were invested in improving Beijing for the Olympics, and billions more will be invested for future developments. Someday later, I want to return to Beijing and see how much farther it has progressed. After seeing the wonderful job the city did with the Olympics, I’m sure it can only become more beautiful in the future.
