And one Uni alum, 2005 graduate Hillary Proctor, talks about her decision to join a sorority at Northwestern.

Part II looks at the process of getting into a sorority or fraternity house, and what happens later. Does hazing still go? And what about all that partying Greek houses are infamous for?

[AUDIO included] Once you're accepted into college, socialization is crucial to surviving those all-nighters and long drawn-out lectures. Some students join intramurals and some join clubs, but have you ever considered joining a sorority or fraternity? Many people think of those who belong to the Greek system as the rich, preppy Caucasian students who get drunk and party on a day-to-day basis. Reporters Lizzy Warner and Deborah Ladd decided to see if the stereotypes were really true: Was a sorority just a bunch of well-kept blonde girls? Did a fraternity mainly consist of tall muscular jocks?

Last week 2004 alum Emily Buss dropped by to discuss Wellesley College, the prestigious women's liberal arts school located near Boston. You might be hearing a lot more about Wellesley in the coming months, especially if one of its most famous graduates, Hillary Rodham Clinton, becomes the Democratic nominee for president. It's one of the rituals of senior year: visiting college campuses. But there's more to a college visit than taking the official tour. Seniors Jie Han and Linda Song recently made the drive up I-57 to check out the University of Chicago. They sampled the classes as well as the cuisine and came away impressed.
