Seniors Jamie Weiser (as Hero, daughter of the governor of Messina) and Julian Hartman (as Claudio, a young lord of Florence) rehearse a scene from Uni High's spring play, "Much Ado About Nothing." The Shakespeare comedy, directed by fine arts teacher Barbara Ridenour, will be performed in the North Attic Playhouse this week. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3; 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4; and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5. Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens, $6 for adults. The entire cast and crew have been putting in marathon days and nights during tech week. The production features must-see, drop-dead gorgeous costumes, superb live music, the usual excellent acting — and the Rufty Tufty! Kudos go out to costume director Mary Stasheff. As cast member Anna Cangellaris said of this week's dress rehearsals: "With the cast dressed in such stately and elegant garb, I noticed us standing taller and falling into the mannerisms and demeanors of our characters. The atmosphere of the North Attic that was tinged with bits of uncertainty and nervousness the night before began to fill with confidence and energy as the story of the play started to come to life."
