University of Illinois President Joseph White and his wife, Mary White, visited Uni High on Friday, April 14. Director/Principal Kassie Patton gave them a tour of the school during fourth period (10:45-11:35 a.m.), during which they sat in on several classes. They ate lunch with about a dozen Uni students in the North Attic. This was the first time White has visited Uni. He took office as president of the three-campus U of I system on Jan. 31, 2005.
